WHAT TO WEAR FOR YOUR BOUDOIR SESSION
You’ve booked your session, now what to wear is all you can think of. Finding things to wear is truly half the fun of the session. Who doesn't love shopping? Here are some general tips to keep in mind while you shop.
LINGERIE
Think body suits and teddies here. You want something that is going to show your curves not hide them like a baby doll top. There are so many great options and colors out there. Corsets are also a good choice, however if they have stiff boning in them, it’s really going to limit the poses.
SOMETHING THAT BELONGS TO YOUR LOVE
If this is a gift for your significant other, grab something of theirs or something that they love. Sports jersey, work uniform, tie, something that is personal for them. This will make the images even more personal and sexy for them
ACCESSORIES
Break out the bling! Bring the diamond earrings and the pearls. Accessories can add so much to a outfit and really change the feel. If you have them, bring them.
GARTERS & THIGH HIGHS
These are great options for so many outfits and they make your legs look amazing. They are so versitile, look and feel sexy. You can also do thigh highs without garters, just make sure they have the stay up strips and they fit your thigh properly. Vinnie Milano are the best ones that I have found. They stay up and lay perfectly on your thigh, just be sure to check out their size guide to get the perfect ones for you. Click here to visit the Vienne Milano website
BRA & PANTY SETS
If you have a matching set that you love in your closet already, great. If you don’t, now’s the time to get one. Get one that fits your style, flrty, sexy, sporty, something that speaks to you. However, opt for demi cups and lacy things over a full coverage cup.
SHOES
Bring heels, the highest ones that you have. You aren’t going to be walking around in them so the higher the better. Basic black closed toe pumps are always a great option. Heel with designs, bling or lots of straps are great options too. Leave your flats and wedges at home.
OTHER CLOTHING
Sometimes casual attire or something out of the ordinary can be a great option. Ripped jeans, oversized sweaters, beach cover ups, tank tops, graphic tees could all work. If you’re considering it, bring it.
A FEW OTHER THINGS TO THINK ABOUT
-
If the clothing can get wrinkly, don’t stuff it in a bag. Bring it on hangers.
-
Be sure tags are cut out, lingerie doesn’t hide them very well at all.
-
Clean your shoes, including the inside and bottoms
-
While your cleaning shoes, clean the inside of the ones you are going to wear to the studio so the bottom of your feet stay clean
-
Lingerie doesn’t hide much, including tan lines. Be very aware of your sun habits in the weeks leading up to your shoot
In the end, bring all the things. You will shoot 3 to 5 outfits but it’s always a great idea to have options. You never know what is going to feel good that day, you may surprise yourself.
